  • The Legend of Vilnius

Vilnius was born from the dream of Grand Duke Gediminas.
One night he saw an Iron Wolf standing on a hill, howling so loudly that the sound echoed across the land. The pagan priest Lizdeika explained that it was a sign to build a city there, whose fame would spread far and wide.

Thus, according to the legend, Vilnius was born – a city guarded by the Iron Wolf. ?
